SUCCESS STORIES
FROM MELISSA
Amazing Transformations!
Melissa
tells this story about one of her clients: "In Oct. 2002 at the IMDHA
conference in Royal Oak, Michigan, a woman approached me and bought the
Fibromyalgia program. My first impression was that she was homeless
because she looked unkempt. She had on loose, baggy clothing. She wore
no make-up and her hair was uncared for. Her manner was dull and
listless. She was intent on buying the program, so I sold it to her,
but with misgivings." "At the same conference in 2003, a woman
approached me and asked me if I remembered her. She was dressed in a
nice pink suit, her hair was neat and her nails were manicured. She had
a bright, lively manner. I admitted that I did not. She informed me
that she was the woman who had bought the Fibromyalgia program the year
before. She had used it on herself, had recovered and had come off
disability and returned to full-time employment. She was now practicing
hypnotherapy part-time, in addition to her full-time employment.
Here's
another story from Melissa: "My printer was proofing my text book on
fibromyalgia and asked if it really worked. I assured him it did. He
said he was going to send his wife to see me."
"Jolinda had enjoyed being a teacher until she was forced to take early
retirement due to fibromyalgia. She reported that most days she was
awake for 30 minutes to one hour and returned to bed for a 2 hour nap.
She no longer prepared meals for herself and her husband. She was
distressed that she could not keep up with the household chores due to
her illness. Her dream was to be able to travel with her husband again.
She reported her pain levels as 7-8; her fatigue was in the same range.
Even though she took Ambien to sleep every night, most nights she was
unable to get to sleep until 3-4AM. Her tossing and turning was robbing
her husband of sleep also." "Jolinda called from Seattle to cancel her
10th session. She and her husband were sight-seeing and having such a
wonderful time that she did not want to come home yet. She was walking
all over Seattle, up and down hills, all day long without any
discomfort from her fibromyalgia."
Off Disability and In Her Own Business!
And
another: "Carol Ann had been a CICU nurse before her automobile
accident. Afterwards, even though the bones healed, she was left with
fibromyalgia. She had been approved for disability and was waiting on
the final paperwork to be completed.
On her first appointment, she was brought to my office in a wheelchair.
Over the course of her sessions she progressed to a walker, a cane, and
finally was able to walk unassisted. It was difficult to schedule her
last three sessions because she was traveling so much. We finally
finished her sessions around her travel (for fun) schedule. She came
off disability and opened her own business. Her anesthetist husband was
so impressed with her progress he scheduled a series of sessions for
himself."
From Healed to Healer!!
And
this amazing recovery: "I met “Sara’s” (not her real name) daughter at
a workshop I attended in California. Her daughter begged me to work
with her mother while I was there. Three months prior, her father had
put her mother on an airplane to his daughter in California to be
admitted into assisted living. He could no longer care for her at home.
He had pinned a name tag on Sara’s lapel with her name and his
daughter’s name and contact information on it."
"They brought her to my hotel room in a wheelchair. She was padded on
all sides by pillows. She had a sleep mask on and earplugs. They lifted
her onto my bed and propped her up with pillows. When I ranked her
symptoms on a scale of 0-10, with 0 being no symptoms, and 10 being bad
enough to send you to the emergency room, she ranked her pain as 10,
her fatigue as 8, and her “fibro fog” as a 9-10. Her sleep disturbance
was an 8-9. Her major symptoms were pain and fatigue. Although she
answered my questions, it was a major effort for her to talk at all."
"She developed a nice level of trance easily. At the end of the session
when I guided her to re-alert, she sat straight up in bed, ripped the
mask off and said, “Oh, my God! Oh, my God! I don’t have any pain!” She
was amazed. She called her husband to come get the wheelchair and take
her to eat. She remained at the conference for the three remaining
days, attending classes and telling everyone who would listen what had
happened to her. I saw her two more times during that visit.
Afterwards, she moved out of assisted living, became certified as a
hypnotherapist, took my fibromyalgia training course and specializes in
seeing clients with fibromyalgia."
